The Beginning
It all started back in August 2022 when I was tasked with an exciting brand deal – working with Nerf to identify the perfect athlete ambassadors for their upcoming social media campaign. As I dove into the process, I found myself working through a common challenge: how could I confidently select the right athlete with the most suitable fit for this particular campaign?
Relying solely on gut instinct didn't feel like the right approach in an age where data-driven decision-making reigns supreme. I knew there were countless data points to consider, but navigating through the vast sea of information felt overwhelming. It was during this period of uncertainty that a lightbulb moment struck.
What if there existed a comprehensive score that could evaluate an athlete's off-the-field marketability strength? A score that could synthesize all the relevant data points and provide me with a clear, quantitative measure of an athlete's potential impact?
This single, unified metric could be the key to unlocking a new level of confidence in athlete selection for brand partnerships.
It was at that moment that the idea of the Out2Win Score came to life – A groundbreaking algorithm designed to revolutionize the way businesses approach athlete partnerships and social media marketing.
Introducing The Out2Win Score
A proprietary algorithm that meticulously analyzes hundreds of social media data points, including performance on sponsored posts, organic posting frequency, engagement rates, and everything in between. By consolidating these crucial factors into a single score, businesses can make informed decisions when selecting the most appropriate athlete-creators for their campaigns.
The Out2Win Score is out of 100 and is a representation of an athlete’s social media marketability. As we all know, follower count is not a sole reflection of marketability, which is why players such as Brandon Dwyer, 88, and Ian Gunther, 85, have higher scores than Travis Hunter, 82, and Flau’jae Johnson, 83.
This is a new opportunity for brands to seamlessly discover athletes who may not be top performers on the field, but possess exceptional off the field marketability that could maximize the return on investment for their marketing campaigns.
